Lora Asher

Lora Bliss Asher passed away on December 26, 2013 at Retama Manor South in Pleasanton, TX at the age of 86. She was born in Juneau, AK to Lawrence and Laura Duvall Isom, Sr. Lora’s passion was nursing and retired from Retama Manor South as Director of Nurses. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lora is survived by daughters: Margie and Bernardo Calvo, Susan and Wilfred Garcia, Christine and George Kohler. Grandchildren: Kristyna, Xavier, Katherine, Lauren, Molly and Erin. She is preceded in death by her spouse Charles Asher, brother, Dugan Isom & sons, Daniel, Michael and David. The family thanks the staff of Retama Manor for their care. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, 1:00 PM, St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 722 Robinhood Place, San Antonio, TX and Interment will at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
