Luz Maria Torres

Surrounded by her family, Luz Maria Torres, born on October 7, 1927 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, was called home to be with our Lord on Friday, December 10, 2010, at the age of 83. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Erasto Torres; daughters Luz Migdalia and husband Carlos Ponce, Lee Armada, Edith Mildred Torres, and Gloria and husband Oscar Rodriguez; grandchildren, Alli and husband Eric Mullett, Laura and husband Craig Mendenhall, Valeria and husband Adam Sisson, Daniel Armada, Maria Ponce, and Carlos Ponce; great-grandchildren Sophia, Vivienne, and Nathan.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery - 10:45 a.m. Arrival

Visitation:
A Holy Rosary and Vigil will be held Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church

Service:
A 9:00 a.m. Mass of Thanksgiving will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. Matthews Catholic Church.
