Makishin Tech

December 21, 1951 — May 28, 2013

Makishin Tech born December 21, 1951 in Okinawa, Japan, passed from this life on May 28, 2013 at the age 61. She is survived by her husband Stephen Tech; sons, Osumu, Shinji, and Mark Werkheiser; sister, Shinako Miyagi; grandchildren Kiryu, Hyuga, Hayate, Kou, Takanori, Marcus, and Zoe. Makishin loved shopping, singing, and performing karaoke; she was even a member of a band at a young age. Her karaoke talents drew the attention of T.V executives who wanted her to be on their show. Makishins connection to people was tremendous; she never met a stranger, and never met anyone she did not like. Mrs. Tech took pride in the fact that she taught toddlers, some as young as six months old, the important life skill of swimming. Makishin’s other talents included arts crafts, such as crochet, ceramics, stained glass art, and drawing frogs. Makishin was the recipient of two liver transplants that helped to prolong her life. No matter how much pain she had to endure, she would not give up the fight. She believed that she had to live, not just for her and her family, but for those who donated their livers to her. Although, the donors are unknown, the Tech family would like to thank them, and every one involved for the additional years that were given to Makishin. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
