Margaret Mary Runyan, 70, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Otterbein-Middletown. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 18, 1954 to parents, James Harry and Mary Agnes (Schmidt) Long.
Margaret received her honorable retirement from the United States Army after serving 20 years as a military nurse. She then was an instructor with Goodwill Industries in San Antonio, Texas.
Margaret is survived by her sisters, Ann Everett and Cathy Mahoney; brothers, David Long and Chris (Kim) Long; sister-in-law, Patty Long; brother-in-law, Joe Marshall; step-son, Scott Runyan; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Bruce Runyan; brother, Carl James Long; and sister, Claire Marshall.
Mass of Christian Burial and visitation will be held in San Antonio, Texas, handled by Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
