Margaret Virginia Gibney

Margaret Virginia Gibney (Thomas) 88 of San Antonio, Tx passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Margaret was born in Fort Plain, New York to Harry and Evelyn Sinner on May 26, 1933.

In April of 1953 Margaret married her soulmate Joseph Gibney. Together they traveled the world while Joe was in the service and finally settled and bought their dream home in San Antonio, Tx. Here they raised their 4 children and made many memories holding gatherings for family and close friends as Margaret was the matriarch of the family and always had a magical way of bring everyone together. Margaret never met a stranger, and was the kindest, most welcoming, and loving women you could ever meet.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Joseph and son Gerard Gibney, and is survived by daughters Melinda Gibney, Ginger and husband Brian Cordell, son Brian Gibney, grandson Cayden Cordell, granddaughters Taylor Knapp, Meredith Gibney, and Brittney Gibney and 5 great grandchildren Crawford, Brodryck, Cortland, Coehynn, and Waylon.

She will be missed by many.
