Maria Alvarez Ornelas

Maria Reyna Alvarez Ornelas, was called away to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at the age of 94. She was born on Sept. 7, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas. The daughter of Jesus and Paula Alvarez. Maria the oldest of three siblings, grew up learning to nourish the people around her with sweet love, strong faith, and beautiful hope. Later in life she enjoyed traveling, her garden of roses and cooking delicious food. Maria was strong, adventurous, and very resilient overcoming many adversities in her long life. She married and raised four children. She is proceeded by her husband Juan Ornelas and her beloved son Juan Ornelas Jr. She was the loving mother to Irma (Rafael) Morales, sons Hector (Linda) Ornelas, Rodolfo Ornelas; 6 Grandchildren; Irma, Rudy Jr, Ralph, Marisa, Bianca, Hector Jr; 10 great grandchildren.
