Maria M. Vasquez

Maria M. Vasquez joined her Lord & Savior in paradise on Thursday, May 12, 2016. A beloved mother of six, she was born Maria Magdalena Villarreal Cuevas on July 30, 1958 outside of Toledo, Ohio to a humble family from San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in glory by her mother Juanita C. Villarreal and brothers Pedro Villarreal, Jr. and Noel F. Villarreal. She is survived by 4 sons; Joseph Henry Davila, Zaragoza Goy Rabago Villarreal, Jesus Noel Rabago and David Andres Rabago; 2 daughters; Rita Virginia Villarreal and Candelaria Candie Rabago; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Her proudest achievement in life was being mother to six beautiful and brilliant children and the ultimate joy of her life was her grandchildren. To all who knew her, she was the life of the party and a kind spirit who was generous with her love, loyalty and laughter. Many of her nieces and nephews knew her as the cool aunt that everyone could count on to confide or lend a helping hand. Maria enjoyed dancing, softball, spending time with family and was a huge fan of the music of Ramon Ayala. Always one to celebrate, she would want her loved ones to celebrate her life in honor of her memory. Maria lies in repose at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapel at 3520 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78233 where loved ones may pay their last respects on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 12 noon to 5pm. All are welcome and invited to celebrate her life and show support to her grieving family with prayer service at 3pm and mariachis at 4pm.
