Maria Perez Gurrola

Maria Perez Gurrola, born July 12th, 1936, passed from this life on April 8, 2022 at the age of 85. Maria is preceded in death by her Parents, Julian Perez and Eloisa Trevino; brothers, Julian perez Trevino, Pablo Perez Trevino, Eloy Lopez Trevino, Alvaro Ruiz Trevino, and Roberto Perez Trevino; and sister Eloisa Perez Trevino. She is survived by her children Hilario Gurrola (Lisa), Gabriel Gurrola (Huetzi) , Julian Morales (Esther), Diana Verdi (Joseph), Sandra Gurrola; sisters, Rosa Maria Perez, Maria Magdalena Murphy, and Socorro Perez; grandchildren, Hilario Jr., Gabriel Joshua, Desiree, Amber, Veronica, Christian, Viana, Ariel, Jasmine, and Brandon; 3 great grandchildren; father of her children, Hilario Gurrola. We would also like to thank her niece Olvido for her help and wonderful care she gave to mom. Maria was a strong woman who began her working career in Mexico as a telephone operator. She would tell stories about the conversations that she would over hear as she connected phone calls. After moving to the U.S., she became an accomplished seamstress fitting many debutantes and brides for their special day. Maria finished her career working for Eduardo's, in fact the owner would come by her house and take her to work proving how valuable she was to them. She will be dearly missed.
