Maria Rose Monrreal

Maria Rosario Monrreal, age 63, was called eternally by our Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was born on February 8, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas to Gilbert and Stella Monrreal. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Gilbert and Stella; her sister, Dianne; her grandparents, Pedro and Maria Monrreal, Guadalupe Teniente and Julia Wisniewski; and her aunt, Connie Albert. She is survived by her loving sisters, Donna Adame; Blanca (Lupe) Tapia; Gilda (Roland) Villarreal; six nieces and nephews; her boyfriend Jesse Ramirez; her stepson, Jesse Ramirez Jr.; and her three “four-legged” companions - Delgado, Gino and MooMoo.

Rose, as she was affectionately known as, was the “rock” of the family who was always ready to provide guidance and counsel in her own loving and nurturing manner. She graduated from Memorial High School and was a proud member of the Minuteman Marching Band where she excelled as a flutist. After graduating from Memorial High Scholl, Rose attended the National Institute of Technology. She was quick-witted and her humor was contagious. Her entire family and friends will miss her.

Although our Rose is no longer with us, we know that her head is now resting in the palm of God’s loving hand. May she rest in peace.

A private internment will be held in San Antonio, Texas. A memorial service for Rose will be announced at a later date.
