Maria Elida Sanchez

In loving memory of Maria Elida, affectionately known as "Moli", who touched the lives of all who knew her with amazing, caring, giving, selfless, strong, and loving nature. Maria was born on December 19, 1942, in Laredo, Texas, and peacefully passed away on July 18, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.

Maria's life was a testament to love and family. She found joy in simple pleasures and embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with unmatched devotion. Her hobbies included cooking for her children, grandchildren, and extended family members - a labor of love that she wholeheartedly poured into every dish she prepared.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jose Carmelo Sanchez. She also leaves behind her children: Jose Angel Sanchez (Irene Sanchez), Francisco Sanchez (Raquel Guerra), Victor Sanchez (Claudia Sanchez), Martha Alicia Raz (Raul Raz), Dolores Sendejo (James Sendejo), and Maria Luisa Castaño (Tony Castaño). Maria's legacy extends to her 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

In the hearts of those Maria leaves behind, her memory will forever be cherished. She touched countless souls with her kindness and gentle spirit. Maria Elida Sanchez's presence will be deeply missed however her love will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and inspired.

As we bid farewell to Maria in this earthly realm, may we find solace in knowing that she has found eternal peace in the embrace of the heavens above. May her soul rest in eternal tranquility as we carry forward the lessons of love and compassion that she so beautifully exemplified throughout her life.
