Mari-Alice Elliott

Mari-Alice Reed Elliott passed away in her sleep at the age of 64 in her home in San Antonio, Texas. She lived alone with her dog, Hank.

Mari-Alice was born and raised in Pasadena, California, along with her three brothers, David, Mike, and Joseph. She moved to San Antonio and married Rowe Elliott in 1976. They raised three children together before divorcing in 1995.

Mari-Alice was a full-time homemaker when her children were little, returning to work when they were all in school and eventually going back to school herself. In 1994 she graduated from UTSA with a degree in accounting. While in college she was a competitive athlete, winning awards for swimming and fencing. She also performed in musical theater and sang on stage in an opera workshop.

She danced for years with San Antonio’s Urban 15 performance group, and enjoyed socializing with friends from local meetup groups. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes, as well as gardening, art, and crafting.

Mari-Alice is survived by her three children; daughter, Leslie, sons William and James; and seven grandchildren, Savannah, Gwynne, Julian, Adelina, Adrian, Aurora, and Jacqueline.

A memorial service will be held for Mari-Alice in San Antonio after the lifting of travel and gathering restrictions. Date and time TBA.
