Mary Acevedo, 73, of Bracken, TX, passed away on February 1,2024 with her family by her side after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mary was born on August 25, 1950 to Maria Ruiz Lara and Amadeo Lara, Sr in San Antonio, TX.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother Maria Ruiz Lara, her father Amadeo Lara, Sr, sister Angelita S. Zamora, granddaughter Rachel Jones, and husband Lino Acevedo.
She is survived by her son Rene Acevedo (Dorothy), granddaughter Crystal Ramirez (Nick), great grandsons Jayce and Ashton, grandson Aaron Gouthier (Yvonne), great granddaughter Ava and great grandson Ryan, granddaughter Nichole Cortez (Rodolfo), great grandson Mateo, brother Amadeo Lara, Jr. (Amelia), sister Encarnacion Wickenhoefer, sister Adela Lugo (Hector), and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say thank you to everyone who showered her with love in her final days. She will be missed by many family members and friends.
Following the services family and friends are invited to gather at the Hanging Tree Saloon (18424 2nd St, San Antonio, TX 78266) per Mary's request to celebrate her life.
