Annette Scott, age 59, returned to the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2018 with her family at her side. Annette was born on January 12, 1959 to Max and Marjorie (Necker) Petri. She graduated from Providence H.S., class of ’77.
Annette had the gift of creating and sharing her talents. She was selfless in many ways and always generous in extending her heart and home. She touched many lives with her service to church, family and friends. She served as Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She was a devout parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, member of the Blessed Sacrament 12:15 Mass Choir, VSP (Very Special People), the Altar Society, Holy Name Society (serving as Second Vice President of the Archdiocesan Holy Name Society) and an ACTS team member. To her family, she was an attentive caregiver. She cared for her Maternal “Grandmommy” (Thelma Necker), who suffered from Alzheimer’s, for many years until her death, as well as for her father in the final months of his life. One of her great joys was having the privilege of caring for her adopted daughter, Ashley, who had special needs, for 17 years. Annette treasured Ashley’s purity and innocence. Her hands were hands of service.
Annette was preceded in death by her father, Max C. Petri, Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Samuel Scott; her mother, Marjorie Petri; her daughters and their spouses, Amanda Patrick (DJ), Heather Litman (James), Jennifer LaBorde (Matthew), Kimberly Allen (Brandon), and Ashley Scott; stepchildren: Sarah Coe (Zac), Jason Scott (Jestina) and beloved “adopted” daughter Tiffany Leal (Gilbert); grandchildren: Jalen Patrick, Katelynn Patrick, Rylan Patrick, Mark Litman, Christopher Litman, Leonidas Edwards, Thaddeus Edwards, Alaura Allen; step-grandchildren: Garrett Scott, Phaleisha Combs, Serinidee Combs, Gary Combs and “adopted” step-grandchildren Faith Leal and Gilbert Leal. She is also survived by her siblings, Kenneth (Donna) Petri, Brian (fiancé Cassi) Petri, Danny (Ruby) Petri, Andy (Anna-Laura) Petri and Claire (Robert) Abad.
