Mary Suzanne Corbett went to the Lord on April 17, 2023. Born in Winfield, Kansas, Sue was preceded in death by her husband Ronald W. Corbett, her parents Bernard and Erma McCartney, her sisters Patricia McCartney Ryan and Sandra Lee Ann McCartney. Sue was survived by her son Daniel Corbett, her daughter Kathryn Corbett Fitting, her son Jefferson Corbett, her daughter Cynthia Corbett Clark, and her son Christopher Corbett. She also was survived by her grandchildren Stephanie, Sara, Nicky, Alex, Meghan, Sean, Kyle, Gregory, Jason, Anthony and Cameron. She was also survived by her great grandchildren Roman, Avery and Carter.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and taught for one semester before her marriage.
Her life's work was weaving. She became a Master Weaver and her passion was unparalleled. Her skilled hands and keen artistic vision led her to create intricate and stunning clothing and pieces, each a unique expression of her craft. Her art is included in collections across the USA and several foreign countries.
Sue was a woman of unwavering resolve. She instilled in her children the importance of determination, hard work and self-resolve. Her approach to life was one of quiet strength, and her numerous grandchildren will carry forward her legacy of resilience in the face of challenges.
