Mary V. Cruz

Our beloved mother, Mary V. Cruz, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 2, 1929 in San Antonio to Fidencio and Emiteria Vela. Mom was kind, loving and generous to everyone she met. She married Apolonio Cruz in 1949 and were blessed with four sons, Ruben, David, Edward and Paul. She is survived by her four sons, their wives Sylvia, Elena, Ida, Lisa, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was widowed since June 1977 but continued having a very positive outlook on life. She was a woman of great faith. As a Jehovah’s Witness for 53 years, she believed in sharing with everyone she met the good news found in the Bible and taught by Jesus Christ. We will forever be grateful to our mother for teaching us Bible truths as children, something that has sustained us as grown men. We loved her dearly and now await the day when we see her again in perfect health in Jehovah God’s paradise on Earth. All are invited to her funeral talk Saturday, October 3 at 5 pm at the Kingdom Hall at 731 Pleasanton Rd, San Antonio.
