Matthew Wayne Rippetoe

Matthew Wayne Rippetoe (Monk) 34 years of age passed away unexpectantly on Monday, July 4th 2016 at his home in San Antonio TX. Matthew was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 16, 1982 and was the 4th of 5 children of parents Billy Wayne Rippetoe and Maria Yolanda Garza.



Matthew spent his youth growing up in the Eden neighborhood of Northeast San Antonino where he formed many close and lifelong friends. In those early years Matthew loved playing basketball, football, baseball and enjoyed success as an AAU track athlete competing in the National Junior Olympics. Matthew attended High school locally at the International school of the Americas, Mac Arthur High School, and after relocating to Tulsa Oklahoma he graduated from Jenks High school in 2001.



Following graduation from high school Matthew remained in Oklahoma to attend college and worked primarily as a telemarketer. In 2009 Matthew returned to San Antonio reuniting with many friends, family and getting to know his new nieces and nephews. Matthew worked several different jobs until returning to the profession he enjoyed, tele customer service and marketing at Alorica. As an adult Matthew loved spending time with his friends and following the Spurs.

Matthew is survived by his parents Billy and Yolanda, his sisters Tara and Libby and his brothers Fil and Bill Lee. Matthew was the uncle to 3 nephews and 3 nieces.
