Merced Tijerina

Merced Tijerina was born in Tinajas, Tamaulipas Mexico on 10 March, 1926. He died 18 October 2010 at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Elvia Garza Tijerina, 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Merced was a chef by profession. He leaves behind a legacy of recipes for a marvelous life. He is known to all as a humble spiritual giant. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
