Michael Steven Pena

Michael Steven Pena, loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, passed away January 12, 2021, at the age of 50.

Michael was born to Hector M. and Santa F Pena on June 21, 1970. He graduated in 1988 from Judson High School in Converse, Texas. He proudly earned a letter in High Tech by completing an internship at Randolph Air Force Base. He was also able to go to Europe (London & France) in his senior year through The American Leadership Study Groups Program. He was accepted into UTSA (he still has his acceptance letter) in 1989 and graduated in 1996 earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His work history included Motorola Inc. (Seguin), Softest Designs Corporation, Southwest Research Institute, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (Austin), and worked under contract with CACI International (San Antonio).

He was a gentle loving soul and cared deeply for his family. His pride and joy were his children, Eliana and Matthew. Eliana was born January 15, 2007, and Matthew was born February 5, 2009. He is survived by his father, Hector Martinez Pena, and mother, Santa Fernandez Pena, his sister, Diana F Chapa, brother Robert F Garza and his aunt Concepcion Rodriguez (Tia Connie) whom he loved like a second mother. He loved his many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends and they loved him.
As a father, he could not love his children more. He took them to Monster Truck Shows, to the zoo, parks, the river, the rodeo; he took them to see Star Wars and Comic-Con shows and went on many adventures. On Matthew's computer, he downloaded hundreds of video games he himself loved to play as a young man.

He was funny, smart and we will always remember his sweet spirit. Till we meet again, dear one.
