Miguel Peña Jr.

Miguel Peña Jr., lovingly known as Mike, passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio, Texas, on December 5th at the age of 58, with his devoted wife of 32 years, Irene Peña, by his side.

Mike was a beloved husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Irene; his mother, Henrietta Peña; his five daughters, Jennifer (Angel), Samantha (Hector), Marissa (Anthony), and Veronica; his son, James (Wisdom); his two stepchildren, Brenda (Jacob) and Rene (Desi); and his brother, Anthony Peña (April). Mike also leaves behind a legacy of love in his 13 grandchildren: Angel, JohnMichael, Christopher, Johnathan, Sebastian, Hector, Samuel, Jacob, Gionni, Edward, Nicholas, Liam, and his princess Vanessa.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Mike had a passion for life that shone brightly to everyone who knew him. He was a man who loved working with his hands, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends whenever they needed him. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed watching wrestling surrounded by loved ones, and had a deep admiration for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, even though he never got to ride one himself.

Mike also had a deep love for hard rock music and was a true music enthusiast. Whether it was classic rock, heavy metal, or country , music was his passion, and he cherished every moment listening to his music, feeling the energy and connection with the bands he loved.

Mike had a larger-than-life personality and was the life of the party wherever he went. Known for telling it like it was, he lived life on his own terms with an unmatched spirit and authenticity. His warmth, humor, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honoring his memory, let us remember the joy, laughter, and love he brought into the world and the countless lives he touched.
