Modesto Z. Carrillo

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Modesto Z. Carrillo, 81 went to the Lord on January 13, 2016. Born in San Antonio, Texas he is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Herminia Carrillo and brother, Manuel Carrillo. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Ernestina Carrillo; son, Daniel S. Carrillo; daughter, Herminia De La Garza (David), daughter, Sylvia Marsh (Colby), daughter, Irma Lopez (Joe); grandchildren, Robert, Philip, Christine, Caroline (Julian), William, Jacob, also two great-grandchildren, Arianna and Angel. His brothers, Reynaldo Carrillo and Joe Luis Carrillo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Modesto was a longtime employee of CPS, retiring in 1994. Respected and well-liked by all, Modesto had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances from his years at CPS and through his many interest and activities during his retirement years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many other activities. He devoted much of his life to helping his extended family and friends.
