Myrtle "Myrt" Marie Cobb Geary, 72 years old, of Boerne, TX, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016, from an enlarged heart.
Myrt was born in California in 1944. At the age of six months, she moved to Perryton, Texas and resided there until she graduated high school and moved to Corpus Christi, TX.
Myrt married the love of her life, David "Dave" Geary in 1972. Dave was an amazing man taking on a ready-made family and adopting Myrt's two small children and raising them as his own.
Myrt worked for the Kendall County Appraisal District until her retirement on December 31, 2014. She enjoyed spending time by the water and going country and western dancing. She was also a huge animal lover and fostered many dogs and birds.
Myrt is survived by her son, Flint Geary and his wife Michele, daughter, Houston Cable and her husband Dan; grandchildren, Chase & Chloe Koll along with other family and friends.
Myrt is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mattie & Joseph Cobb, sisters, Josie Creswell and Judy Janzen and husband, David W. Geary.
It was Myrt's wishes not to have a funeral service. Instead, her and her late husband's ashes will be spread together in the water at Port Aransas, TX where they met, during an intimate, private family service.
