Omar Elias Palos, born October 10, 1981, in San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 42. Omar leaves his wife, Katie Michelle Palos, married 11 years, and 5 children; Katy Belle, 10, Omar II “Beaux”, 9, Olivia, 5, Madi, 3, and Nora 2 months.
Omar, Smithson Valley HS 2001, Comal County ISD, was a United States Marine and served two tours in Iraq. He graduated from UTSA, 2020, with a teaching degree in Social Studies. He was a US History teacher and, at one time coach, at Founders Charter Classical Academy, Schertz, Texas.
Omar was the son of Fernando and Velma Palos of Bulverde, Texas. His siblings are Fernando X. Palos (Heather), Sergio T. Palos (Amanda), Christina R. Palos, and Noe A. Palos, and many nieces and nephews.
Omar and his family were members of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, San Antonio, Texas, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7613.
Omar’s love of life leaves a legacy as a husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, teacher, and friend. His generosity, kind heart, and his willingness to serve others provided an abundance of blessings from those who knew him. God’s purpose for Omar was to serve others and he did as a husband, father, teacher, and coach. Now, he continues to serve by watching his family and the rest of us from heaven
