Oscar G. Paredez

Oscar G. Paredez went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2011 after losing his battle to cancer. He was born in Beeville, Texas on July 31, 1949 to the late Augustin and Rafelita Galvan Paredez. Oscar joins in heaven his parents and brothers, Augie and Ralph Paredez. Oscar is survived by his beloved wife of over 32 years, Rose Paredez; sons, Oppie and Oscar (OJ) Paredez, Jr.; daughters, Veronica (Robert) Shirk, Crystal (Oscar) Escobedo, Erica (Michael) Jordon, Debra Ann (Frank Guridy) Paredez; sisters, Gloria Gonzales, Yolanda P. Puente, Sandy Guerrero, and Rachel Paredez; also 10 grandchildren. He served in the US Marine Reserves, and was a 1967 graduate of Harlandale High School. Oscar had a passion for collecting and restoring old vehicles. He will be missed by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

SERVICES
Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 23rd from 12pm until 8pm with Prayer Service at 6:30pm. A 10am Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on March 24th at El Carmen Catholic Church with interment to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Leming, Texas.
