Ovey Ray Broome

Ovey Ray Broome, age 79, entered into rest on Monday, May 24, 2010 in San Antonio TX. He was born January 23, 1931 to the late Molly Kindley Martin L. Broome Sr. He is preceded in death by his brothers Arthur, James, Martin, Luther David. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia (Fitts) Broome; daughter Diane husband Dwayne Murphy; son Kevin Broome and wife Cheryl; five grandsons, Devin, Derek Dustin Murphy, Matthew Eric Broome; one great-grandson, Clayton Murphy; Sister-in-law Elizabeth Broome; brother Kenneth Broome wife Louise, sister-in law Betty Lou Broome, sister Betty Hostetler husband Conrad, sister Shirley Mayrand husband Russ; numerous nieces, nephews friends. Mr. Broome served on active duty in the US Air Force and as a civil servant at Kelly AFB where he retired after more than 30 years of service. Ray enjoyed life and people, he never met a stranger.

Cemetery:
Graveside Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:45am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.



Graveside Services will be at PAVILION #5, when you enter the cemetery the pavilion will be towards the right.
