Pedro Jose Alcozer, born November 9, 1949 in Hondo, Texas passed from this life on December 3, 2021 at the age of 72. The oldest of 5 brothers, Pedro “Pepe” aka “The Rock” enjoyed riding his horse to school, taunting the bull on the rancho, and telling his adventurous stories. Pepe spent some of his years playing baseball with his brothers where he was just as lively on the field as he was off. Pepe served in the U.S. Army where he earned the ‘National Defense Service Medal’ and also the ‘Expert Marksmanship Badge’. Pepe was a very rambunctious and free-living individual. He enjoyed the occasional acrobatic flip(s), showing off his dance skills, and enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends. He defiantly lived life on his terms and was always willing to help others when possible. He will be greatly missed as family gatherings will never be the same without him. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria M. Alcozer, sister Irma Alcozer, brother Roberto ALcozer, aunt Guadalupe Alcozer, grandparents Pablo & Cresencia R. Alcozer, Jose G. & Josefina Montanez, brother in-law David Higle, and sister in-law Josie Alcozer. Pedro is survived by his daughter Misty R. Alcozer (Jaime Gonzalez), father Pedro R. Alcozer, brothers Robert (Tina), Johnny (Mari), Pablo, and Tony Alcozer; sisters Ermila Higle, Stella Lomas (Jose), and Rosie Galvan (Benny); grandchildren Brianna and Richard; numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members.
