Peter Ralf Daniel

Peter R. Daniel was born in Wetzlar, Germany on April 18th, 1951 and went home to his Heavenly Father on April 5th, 2020 in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Peter is preceded in death by his mother, Inge Cearley; Step-father, James Cearley and brother Jurgen Daniel. Peter is survived by his beloved, Sue Feeman, his daughter Jessica Shadman from his marriage to Angelina Daniel and his grandson Ethan Shadman; his sisters Silvia Silva and Jutta Reynolds; as well as his nieces Nicole Durham, Danielle Gonzalez, Christa Reynolds and Lindsey Reid, and many great-nephews and great-nieces and countless friends.

Peter attended Southwest Texas State University and later earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. He retired from The Texas Commission for the Blind in 2016.

Peter was a loving father and grand-father, affectionately known as “Baba” to his grandson. He enjoyed sharing his love of fishing, bowling, claw machines and playing games with his family. He could often be found singing songs with his guitar, manning the BBQ pit until he later adopted a “whole-food, plant-based diet”, and behind a video camera capturing memories at family gatherings.

Peter was loyal and devoted to his family and found comfort in his faith in God. He firmly believed that we are rescued to heaven by our faith in Christ and saved by God’s grace.

The memories shared by those that love Peter reflect a life well lived, a race well run and a spirit that entered into the presence of God to hear “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
