Rachael D. Castillo, born on May 27, 1957, in Pleasanton, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Rachael was a dedicated member of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church community. She actively contributed to the church as a Guadalupana since 1977, embodying her faith through her service.
Aside from her commitment to her church, Rachael had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She loved to gamble and play games such as bingo and cards. Rachael was also known for being creative and had a talent for crafts. Her giving heart led her to volunteer for any opportunity that arose in her community.
Rachael is preceded in death by her husband Henry Castillo Sr; parents Ralph and Virginia Belle Lambaria; and brother John Henry Lambaria. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Castillo, son Henry Ricky "Kiki" Castillo Jr (Judy)., grandchildren Garret Mills, Keatlynn Barrera (Michael), Ana Ziel Castillo, and Bella Yazmine Castillo will forever carry Rachael's spirit within them.
Additionally, she leaves behind her sisters Helen Cerda, Julia Herrera (Ignacio), and sister in law Gloria Lambaria; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members who will hold onto the bond they shared with Rachael throughout their lives.
The services honoring Rachael D. Castillo's life will take place at St. Andrew's Catholic Church located at 626 Market Street in Pleasanton, Texas. The visitation will be held on September 21st beginning at 4:30 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.
A Mass celebrating Rachael's life will be held on September 22nd at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The burial will take place at Esparza Cemetery, located at 261 Esparza Road in Pleasanton, Texas, following the Mass at 11:30 A.M.
Rachael D. Castillo will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and love for her family and community. Her impact on the lives she touched will forever be cherished, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
