Rafaela Leal, born on July 18, 1938, peacefully passed away on December 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to her family and community. A devoted nurse, Rafaela spent her life helping those in need embodying the spirit of care through her work and volunteerism.
Rafaela was deeply involved in her parish community at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharist minister and participated actively in A.C.T.S. retreats. Her commitment to faith and service enriched the lives of many and demonstrated her unwavering support for those around her. She embodied the values of kindness and generosity, which she shared with family and friends alike.
She is survived by her children, Manuel Leal, Arlisa Valdez and her husband Mark, and Bernard F. Leal and his wife Lisa. Rafaela cherished her role as a grandmother to Austin, Ellis, Mark, Samantha Noriega and Nina Leal who were bright lights in her life. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Teresa, Juanita, and Rosita, who shared countless memories filled with love and laughter.
Rafaela's life was shaped by the love of her late husband, Manuel Leal, and the memories of her grandson, Lucas Leal, who precede her in death. She was the daughter of Manuel and Rafaela Martinez, whose influence instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she carried throughout her life.
