Raul Villarreal beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the age of 79. He is survived by wife Gavina Villarreal, daughter Hazel Geoghagan, sons Eddie and Joe Villarreal, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a 30 year Army Veteran serving twice in Korea and twice in the Vietnam War.
Raul was a man that was kind and generous. He loved all of us children with such joy and pridethat it lit up his face every time we were together. There was never a time that you could not talk to him or that he would not offer advice(ask for or not). Some of you may not have known Raul, my father the way thatI did but for those who did not get to see this side of him, missed out on knowing a great man. A man that made sure that his family was taken care of even if it meant he hadto sacrifice something important to him.
