Razmik Boghozian died unexpectedly in San Antonio on April 14, 2016 at the age of 57.
Razmik is survived by his Father, Tikran Boghozian of Tehran, Iran; brothers Rafie (Lisa) Boghozian of Johnson City, TN and Roupik (Alice) Boghozian of Burbank, CA; and one sister, Rosik (Hosep) Hovsepian of Tehran, Iran. He is preceded in death by his mother Yester Boghozian of Tehran, Iran. Razmik has 4 nieces and 4 nephews whom he loved very much.
Razmik was born on January 8, 1959 in Abadan, Iran to Tikran and Yester Boghozian. He moved to San Antonio in 1980 where he began his career as a restaurateur. Razmik is well known in the San Antonio restaurant business where he managed several eateries in his 30 years of residence here. For the past several years he worked at the Houston Street Bistro. Known for his generosity and genuine love for his customers and fellow business owners, his smile and warm greeting will be greatly missed.
Razmik enjoyed watching soccer, football and San Antonio Spurs games while sharing a bottle of wine with his friends. Witty and kind, he was a great friend to many who are mourning his loss. He was also proud of his Armenian culture and had deep love for his family. He was so happy to be able to travel with his brother to visit his extended family in Iran several times in the last decade, basking in the traditions and love of his father and sister and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral mass for Razmik will be held April 21, 2016 at 10 am at St, Helena Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont, San Antonio, TX, immediately following will be the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Please join us for a reception after the ceremonies at Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano, 8539 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Razmik’s life. Although Razmik did not have any children of his own, he loved children and always made them feel special in his presence. Therefore, it is only fitting that any donations in his memory benefit children. In lieu of flowers, please send donations St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family would like to offer our sincere appreciation to our San Antonio cousins, the Movsesian family, for your genuine hospitality. The family would also like to offer our sincere thanks to the Massoud Moezzi family, Phillip Hinojosa, Mehrdad Ghaffari and Aldo Ghaffari who have gone above and beyond to help us deal with this terrible tragedy. Your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten.
