Ricardo Cervantes entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2024 at the age of 54. He was born in Laredo, Texas on July 18, 1970. He graduated from Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, in 1989.
Ricardo had a career in the trucking industry as a dispatcher, safety representative and driver. He had so much dedication and respect for the company he proudly represented.
Melissa, Ricardo's life partner of 23 years, along with his family were the cornerstone of his life. Ricardo's happiest moments were spent alongside his daughter, granddaughter, family, friends and his pet Jack Russell, Gigi. Simple times like watching his team the Dallas Cowboys, hanging out with his co-workers after work, taking a cruise in his jeep, attending family events, spending quality time with his dad, going for a walk or bike ride at the park and dancing and singing to his favorite music brought him such joy. He especially found such contentment and happiness attending Melissa's running events throughout the years.
He had a passion for helping others, and he always wore his heart on his sleeve. His positivity, beautiful smile, and strong faith in God is what brought him much joy and got him through each passing day.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Juanita Cervantes. He is survived by his loving life partner Melissa Hernandez, his father Elias Cervantes, his children Aileen Cervantes and Ironicia Durante, granddaughter Alana Cervantes, and his siblings Rosendo (Laura) Ledezma, Leticia (Goyo) Robollar, Mario (Mary) Cervantes, Juan (Chuchis) Cervantes, Miguel (Maricela) Cervantes, Yolanda (Ernesto) Lara, Javier (Veronica) Cervantes, Anna (Fernando) Rangel, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ricardo, also affectionately know as Carcar and Ricky Cowboy, will forever be deeply loved and missed by all of those he encountered throughout his lifetime.
You will forever be a part of every breath I take Mi Amor.
