Richard Angelo Ponti

Richard Angelo Ponti entered the hands of the Lord on November 24, 2020, at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his father Morris Ponti and Mother Beatrice Ponti. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Amalia Ponti, his daughter Marissa Ponti, his son Tony Ponti, and his beloved grandchildren; Jason Anthony Ponti, Janelle Nicole Ponti, and Audrina Isabella Zapata. Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Richard honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. After serving our country, he attended the University of Rhode Island and obtained a Master of Science degree. He became a teacher and taught Science for 38 years in Rhode Island, Florida, and Laredo, Texas. Richard’s passion was traveling with his family and enjoying classic western films featuring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He will be remembered for always making everyone laugh, his amazing heart, and for always sharing his interesting life stories.
