Robert Harold Marshall, Sr.

August 23, 1932 — February 5, 2011

Mr. Robert Harold Marshall, Sr. passed away on February 5, 2011, at the age of 78 due to sudden illness. Born in Taunton Massachusetts to Joseph and Alice Marshall, he served in the army with distinction for more than twenty years as part of the occupation forces in Japan after the war, fought in Korea with the 7th army and latter in Vietnam with the 25th infantry division where he was awarded the bronze star with valor other decorations and combat medals. He served in Berlin Brigade command before retiring in San Antonio in 1978. He was loved and will be missed very much by everyone who knew him and his blue jacket. He loved to fish and visit family and friends whenever he could. He was a very generous and giving person. Survivors include sons and wife\'s Robert H. Marshall Jr. and Pam, J.W. Marshall and Teresa, Sean Marshall and Angie, Guy Marshall and Dana. Grand children. Thomas Marshall and Heather, Sean Marshall Jr. and Casey Whipple, ,Gabe Marshall and Jennifer , Matthew Marshall and Suzanne ,Jonathan Marshall, Briana Rimkus and Jeff ,Faith Marshall, Misty Crawford and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons Gary Dean Marshall and Edwin Marshall. There will be a visitation held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary held at 6:00 P.M., at Puente Sons - Northeast. On Monday, February 14, 2011, we will be going in procession from the funeral home to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for an 11:30 A.M.
