Rocio Hernandez

September 5, 1965 — February 26, 2025

Rocio “Rosie” Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength. She was born in a small town in Mexico and built a life filled with devotion to her family and faith.

Rosie is preceded in death by her mother, Romelia Hurtado, and her brother, Agapito Hurtado. She is survived by her loving husband, Ceasar Hernandez; her father, Jose Hurtado; her siblings, Oscar Hurtado (Irene Hurtado) and Lillian Deleon (Raul Deleon); her children, Margaret Chaffin (Arron Chaffin), Renee Hernandez, and Stephanie Hernandez; her stepdaughter, Rachel Wood (Aaron Wood); and her cherished grandchildren, Octavin Stone, Eva Gutierrez, Aryanna Diaz, Addyson Diaz, Haylee Castillo, Oscar “ODE” Elizondo, Jayson Elizondo, Arron Chaffin, Ciriaco Wood, and Alex Chaffin.

Rosie was a woman of unwavering faith, a devoted member of her church, and someone who found joy in worship and fellowship. She had a radiant smile that could light up any room and a laugh that was truly contagious. She loved to dance, a reflection of the joy she carried in her heart. Above all, she loved her family fiercely—her husband, children, and grandchildren were her greatest treasures.

After the passing of her mother, Rosie selflessly cared for her father, embodying the kindness and strength that defined her life. Even in her battle with cancer, she fought with everything she had, demonstrating courage and resilience.

Rosie’s love and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
