Rodger Dale Windham, a beloved son, brother, and friend to many, passed away on May 6, 2024 in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 23, 1953, to his parents Minor Windham Sr. and Clara Windham.
Rodger was known for his generous and sweet-natured personality. Family always came first to him, and he was a devoted of Christ. He touched the lives of those around him with his warmth kindness. Rodger had a passion for reading and was an avid collector of Native American artifacts.
He is survived by his sisters Shirley Embrey, Betty J. Pirhala, LaMerle Windham; along with his nephew Ryan A. Pirhala; niece Brenda L. Kerstine; and many more nieces and nephews. Rodger was preceded in death by his father Minor Windham Sr.; mother Clara Windham; brothers William L. Windham; Minor M. Windham Jr.; Raymond L. Windham.
In addition to his family, Rodger will be deeply missed by his good friends Lorraine Williams, Jimmy Kindla, Walter Callahan, Buddy Cleghorn, and numerous others whose lives he enriched with his presence.
Rodger Dale Windham's legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
A memorial service will be conducted at his home church: Southside Baptist Church in San Antonio at a later date.
