Rodney Afe is a Samoan resident of San Antonio Texas who lived life to the fullest. He is a loving man who endeared his family and friends and always sought the good in people. Rodney loved unconditionally and always helped others with his God given gifts and talents. He is loved, admired and endeared by his family as a man full of humor and love.
In 2010 Rodney moved from Minnesota to be near his mother and sisters and found San Antonio very warm and welcoming and made it his home. He is the son of Late High Chief Afe Apisa and Moeivaigafa Liufau of American Samoa and brother to HC Afe Pelesasa, Vai, Dr. Delaney Tilo, Doreen, Audrey, Julie, Navy and Jermaine.
Rodney was a God fearing man who gave his life to Jesus. In the months leading up to his passing, he expressed his longing to be free from all the pain he suffered from illnesses of this life. Though stricken by many health challenges, Rodney assured all he loved that should he leave this life, he was at peace of God's promise that "absent from the body, he would be ever present with the Lord." 2 COR 5:8
He leaves behind his siblings, nephews, nieces, family and friends but especially the love of his life and eternal soulmate Kehau Gwendolyn Kamai-Afe and his nephews that he raised and loved so dearly Jonah Apisa Solotai Afe & Warren Kamai.
