Rogelio Duran, Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed healthcare professional, passed away on August 25, 202, at the age of 70. Born on April 19, 1954, Rogelio spent his life dedicated to nurturing others both personally and professionally.
Rogelio embarked on a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse, where his compassion and commitment to patient care shone brightly. Even after retirement, he continued to impart his knowledge and skills by training Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides, ensuring that the next generation of caregivers would carry forth the same dedication he exemplified throughout his career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rogelio took immense joy in his role as a grandfather. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren-Anthony Trejo, Leandra Duran, and Rogelio Duran, III. His love for them was evident in the way he spoiled them and always sought to provide for their happiness and well-being. The memories they created together will forever be a testament to the profound affection he held in his heart.
Rogelio is mourned by his loving wife of forty-four years, Maria L. Duran, who stood by his side as a partner in life's journey. He is also survived by his son, Rogelio (Mari) Duran, Jr., as well as his brothers, Tom, Gilbert, Domingo, and Ruben, his sister, Delia, and their mother Maria E. Duran. Together, this family reflects the strength of his character and the love that encompassed his life.
As we remember Rogelio Duran, Sr., we honor a man whose legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched through his nursing career, his unwavering support for his family, and the joyful memories he created with his grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains a guiding light in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
