A hard worker his entire life from his childhood in Texas fields side by side with his parents and his sister, to jet engine mechanic in the Air Force, to carpenter & foreman, to security officer, and all around handyman. Roman met his dream girl Candelaria Mendez de Gutierrez reaching 50 years full of memories made with their families. They married on August 16, 1964 and we're blessed with three children. Arthur A. Gutierrez (8/65-6/97), Cynthia A. Garza married Ismael Garza, Edward R. Gutierrez. In his leisurely pursuits he enjoyed his music though it seems he knew no rest as his hobby was his work. There is no doubt he loved all of his family under his roof. A legacy built with his hands. And a great joy & love for his grandchildren; Joshua J. Garza married Erica M. Garza, Genevieve J. Garza, Ismael Garza IV, Edward R. Gutierrez, Mathew A. Gutierrez, and Lauren E. Gutierrez; Great-granddaughters, Autumn Boom Garza and Justine Daniela Delgado.
