Ron Catlin

Ron Catlin was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on June 2, 1952. He passed away in San Antonio on May 5. He was 56.
Rons first love was the outdoors, which he shared with sons Allan and Aaron. Ron spent his childhood waterskiing and hiking at Arizonas Lakes Powell and Mead. He attended Northern Arizona University on a Collegiate Wrestling Scholarship, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelors of Business Education.
He soon began a long career in the sale of business machines. He and wife Cindi met in 1988. Ron served as a Cub Scout leader and also watched son Allan pursue wrestling as he did. Son Aaron picked up his dads love of all sports and tinkering with his interest in rocketry.

In addition to his wife and sons, Ron is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kym and Drew Drewrey of Tyler; grandsons Chance and Christopher; daughters Kori of Houston and Brenda of San Antonio; mother, Nadine Eubank and her husband, William, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Kent Williams, Kent, of San Jose, Calif.

He was preceded in death by father Harold and brother Charles.
