Rosabella “Rose” Pearl Carnahan, 84, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Rose was born July 11, 1934 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to parents Pearl Rosebelle Stewart and Glenn Robert Carnahan.
In her early years, Rose served in the U.S. Air Force. Following her time in the military, she was a licensed practical nurse while living in California. Rose later received a master’s degree from City College of Fort Lauderdale during her years in Florida. In her later years she enjoyed bible study and fellowship. She was also a co-founder of a San Antonio charity named Mats for the Homeless.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Rosebelle Stewart and Glenn Robert Carnahan; brother, Robert Glenn Carnahan; daughter, Marjorie Ruth “Rusty” Myers Goodsell (Gerald); and grand-daughter, Lisa Michelle Ortiz.
She is survived by her twin sister Jeanette Marie Carnahan Lombardi (Jack) of Punta Gorda, FL; children Brenda Lee Myers Dismuke of Detroit, MI; Patricia Ann Myers Abney (Gary) of Oakley, CA; William Frederick Myers (Frances) of Danville, CA; Daniel Ray Myers (Leticia) of Ramona, CA; Herbert Arnold Schley of San Antonio, TX; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; three nieces and three nephews; as well as many cherished friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
