Rosella “Rosie” Decker was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 22nd, 1954, and passed away at the age of sixty-six on September 23rd, 2021. Rosie was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to cook and was known for her infamous Spanish rice.
She is preceded in death by her biological parents Dolores Surita and Alfredo Tavitas, her adoptive parents Miguel and Consuelo Tavitas, brothers Alfredo (Bobby) Tavitas, Lorenzo Tavitas, Richard Tavitas, Ernest Tavitas, Ernie Ramirez, her sister Susan Tavitas, and her grandson A’drian Ezra Freeman.
Rosie is survived by her four children; Cassandra Alford, Jason Freeman, Justin Decker, Christina Decker, grandchildren; Briana and Brandon Murrell, Cam’ron and Chloe Jones, Ariana Parkinson, Juliana Freeman, Pilot Alcantar, great-grandchildren; Amia Greer, Luna Murrell, Ezra Parkinson, and Axel Parkinson, sisters; Linda Tavitas, Elizabeth Tavitas, Roberta Tavitas, Roxanne Steen, brothers; Joseph Tavitas, Antonio Tavitas, Stephen Ramirez, Michael Tavitas Jr, and ex-husband Vincent Freeman.
