Rosie Lee Meyer Mesch passed away on January 22, 2009, a 6th generation Texan whose family settled the area in the 1850s. Rosie was born in San Marcos, TX on March 15, 1931 to Marvin and Betty Meyer. Rosie attended school in San Marcos and graduated from San Marcos High School in 1950, where she was activities in many organizations including band. Rosie is proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Calvin L. Mesch, maternal grandparents, Adolph and Emma Simon, paternal grandparents, Hugo and Pauline Meyer, mother, Betty Harris, father, Marvin Meyer, brother, Roy Lee Meyer and cousin, Homer Wimberly. She is survived by her daughters: Jackie Ledford (Mitchell), and Patricia Calzada (Michael); grandchildren, Desiree and Ashton Mesch, Michelle, Janelle and Mike Calzada. She is also survived by her brother, James Harris (Bette) of Red Rock, TX, cousin, Betty Wimberly of Clermont, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck Bushey (Mary) of Freeport, IL, Daryl Mesch (Kathy) of Rockford, IL, Lavern Mesch, Jr. of Mt. Carroll, IL, Mike Mesch (Linda) of Bloomington, IL, Dixie Grinell (Bob) of Dakota, IL and Rosemary Bushland (Paul) of Adline, IL.; also numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors especially Dr. Hamner who cared for Rosie along with Regent Care-Oakwells Farm Nursing Home and the Vitas Hospice Staff for the wonderful care she received.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 9:45a.m., Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
