Rudy Cervantes Jr. (RJ) was born on September 25 1998, in San Antonio, Texas, and he departed this life on November 11, 2024, in his beloved hometown. Although his time with us was brief, he leaves behind a legacy of creativity, love, and passion that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rudy was a proud graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University, earning Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. During his academic journey, he not only excelled in his studies but also made cherished memories as a member of the high school bowling team and as a singer in the University choir. His commitment to both his education and his extracurricular activities showcased his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
In addition to his academic achievements, Rudy had a profound love for the world of anime and gaming. He expressed this passion through his work as an online streamer, where he shared his gaming experiences with a community that admired his unique style and infectious enthusiasm.
Rudy's family and friends were essential to his life. He is survived by his parents Maria and Rodolfo Cervantes Sr., sister Lianna Cervantes (Devin); and a number of aunts and uncles including Lucinda Green, Maria Coronado (Randy), Raquel Bosman (David Sr.), Ruben Cuellar (Linda), and Tia Lecha. Their support and love provided him with strength and joy throughout his journey.
Rudy will be remembered fondly by all who crossed his path. He was a shining light in the lives of many, and his generous spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation in honor of Rudy will take place on November 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South, located at 3520 South Flores Street, San Antonio, TX 78204. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life event at the same location, starting at 6:30 PM and concluding at 7:30 PM.
As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember Rudy for the joy he brought to those around him, the dreams he dared to pursue, and the love that he so freely shared. He may be gone, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
