Rudy D. Mungia

Rudy D. Mungia was born on September 23,1952, and went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2023 at the age of 70. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, N.C. (Chicho) Mungia and Carmen D. Mungia and son, Rudy D. Mungia, Jr.

He is survived by his sister Lupe Navaira and twin brother Mario Mungia (Rita). Daughters Elsa M. Conner (Todd), Brandy M. Mungia (Bill Flores) and Priscilla D. Mungia. Grandkids, Riley, Lindsey, Anthony, Delisa, Maddison, Avery, Isabella, Brooklyn and Bryson, and two great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

As a young man, Rudy loved working at his dad’s popular car lot, where he later learned to do body and paint. He was an amazing master mechanic who knew so much about any car or any truck. The thing he loved the most was when he coached his daughter’s softball teams. One of his favorite holidays was going to Canyon Lake for Easter and hanging out with all the families. He also enjoyed going to Port Aransas and either sitting on the beach with his grandkids or fishing in the surf. Most of all, he loved to BBQ on the weekends with his family.
