Rudy V. Ximenez

USAF Ret. SSGT Rudy V. Ximenez, born March 27, 1929 passed from this life on April 20, 2013 at the age of 84. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ximenez. Rudy is survived by his sons, Rudolph (Ann), Ralph, Rene (Betty), and Russ (Edilia) Ximenez; brother, Joe Ximenez; sister, Mary Ximenez Verdusco; grandchildren, Jennifer Rene Ximenez Velasquez, Eric Rene Ximenez, Michelangelo Ximenez, Marco Antonio Castillo, and Rene Fabian Castillo; great-grandchildren, Anna Lisa Elena Velasquez, Rene Fabian Castillo Jr., and Romeo Hazen Castillo; and special friend, Esther Montoya; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Mr. Ximenez was very active in the community. He spent much of his time helping the poor, feeding the hungry, and he had a very strong faith in God. Rudy’s passions in life included exquisite gentleman’s attire and fine dining. He loved to dance, and enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars. Mr. Ximenez was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he will be missed dearly.

Visitation begins Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 3pm - 8pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:45 am for a 9:15 Mass of Resurrection to be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 10:45 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will full Military Honors.
