He is survived by a large loving family, including parents, Mr. Mrs. Richard and Elizabeth Queller; sisters, Cheryl Gochenour and Kellie Maletic; brother, Steve and wife Tracy Queller; two daughters, Mellissa Ramos Sarah Bennett; grandson, Seth Aldrete; and granddaughter, Brianna Ramos. Russell loved, and was very close to his niece, Kristen Abbott, and nephews, Christopher Christ, Chad Thompson, Chase Gochenour and Eric Queller. Russell spent most of his childhood in Kerrville, Texas, and began moving with his family in 1971. He attended school in California, Alabama, Massachusetts, Kansas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School in Syracuse, N.Y., and attended the University of Houston. Russell was proud to be working as a park ranger for the Kerrville Schreiner Park when he was diagnosed with ALS. Born second in the middle of four, Russell was comfortable in the spotlight and had a very magnetic personality. Anyone that knew Russell will remember his sense of humor, his love of music, and his beautiful singing voice.

A Graveside Service will take place following the prayer service at Nicols Cemetery, in Ingram, TX.
There will be a small visitation at Zion Lutheran Church,624 Barnett St., Kerrville, TX 78028, on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. - 9:55 A.M.
A Prayer Service will begin at 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Kerrville, TX.
