Salvador H. Mendoza

Salvador H. Mendoza died on October 11, 2016.  He was 84 year old.  He resided in his birthplace of San Anotnio, Texas at the time of his death.  He was raised in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico until the age of 16.  Sal was an auto mechanic, a business owner and a bus driver for San Antonio ISD Northeast.

Sal worked hard and played hard and taught his children the joys of both.  He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, boating and canoeing; he loved dancing.

He is survived by his six children: Yolanda Cu (Albert Cu), Salvador Mendoza Jr (Grace Mendoza), Diana Rivas, Patricia Mendoza, Marivel Barrera (Omar Barrera), and Gabriel Mendoza.  He is survived by his 18 grandchildren and 20 great-granchildren who knew him as "Grandpa Sal" and "Papa Sal".

His laughter, his sense of humor and his joy and excitement for life live on in his children and the generations of his family to come.
