Samuel Scott Rice, age 37, died suddenly at his home in New Braunfels, Texas on November 26, 2008

He is survived by Rey Cesar Garcia, Brenda Rice, Sheri Kracht of New Braunfels and Lori Rice of Arizona. He is also survived by, Sue Gary Wittenborn of New Braunfels, Shirley Hahn of Fredericksburg Grandmother Marie Fellers. He also leaves behind his niece Madelyn nephew Harrison Kracht. Scott was preceded in death by his dad, Kim Rice in September 2008.

After graduating from Canyon High School he became a Paramedic, and then a Registered Nurse. He worked as part of the medical team for Critical Air for several years before working in surrounding hospitals facilities. He was currently employed at Northeast Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio as an OR Supervisor.

He was blessed with so many wonderful, loving friends companions along his way. He never saw an obstacle that couldnt be overcome nor met a stranger. Everyone became a friend someone with whom he kept in touch even with great distances separating them.

He was an avid learner, absorbing retaining information to share with others when the subject came up. His interests were so varied widespread that it was hard to keep up with them. Especially dear to his heart was music, playing the piano his recently begun mandolin lessons. He had a great appreciation for plants, cooking, animals. Scott truly was the Life of the party kept everyone laughing.

We are honoring Scott in his way with a Celebration of Life held at his residence at 521 Pecos Circle in New Braunfels on December 6,2008 at 2:30pm Please come share your Scott stories feel the love he brought into all of our lives.

Memorial may be given to The American Heart Association or to the charity of ones choice.
