Shaun Royer Bridgewater

Shaun Royer Bridgewater, 52, of Las Vegas, Nevada joined his loved ones, Agatha and Caswall Pierre, and Arthur Bridgewater in heaven on Saturday, August 6, 2022. He is survived by Alroy Bridgewater, Justin Royer, his siblings, nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Max.

Shaun was born on January 1, 1970 in the Bronx, NY. He spent his early childhood in the Bronx and came of age in San Antonio, TX. Shaun graduated from University of Texas, Austin, and continued his music education at Thomas Edison State College, Berklee College of Music, and Full Sail University, among others. Shaun achieved certification in several fields, including hypnotherapy, life coaching and Estill Figure Proficiency vocal training.

Shaun was a gifted teacher, coach, mentor, and choreographer. From teaching at Harvard to the founding of the “Rising Stars of Texas” in San Antonio, and launching the musical powerhouse group Savvy, Shaun touched the lives of countless performers from Texas, New York, Los Angeles, and beyond. Among his many success stories, he was honored to coach finalists in such programs as The Voice and American Idol.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 8231 Callaghan Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230. A repast following the service will be held at All Saints Hall, adjacent to the church. The family has requested that donations be made in Shaun’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
