Sophia Isabelle "Pia" Dapdap

Sophia Isabelle “Pia” Dapdap, 14, of San Antonio, Texas, started her heavenly journey on Friday afternoon, June 16, 2023, surrounded by her mom and grandparents. She began her earthly journey on May 12, 2009, in Pasig City, Philippines.

Pia spent her first 5 years living in the Philippines, until her mommy Lalaine brought her to the United States in 2014. They resided in Pecos, Texas for 4 years, and then moved to Houston for a short period of time, before they finally settled to live in San Antonio, Texas. Pia last attended school at Stinson Middle School where she got her last Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Sophia was a bright girl who speaks her mind. She may have seemed direct, but she was a kind-hearted soul, caring and thoughtful. She was also witty and loved to joke. Her greatest joy, aside from her mom and Lolo Papa, were her little doggies, Hamlet and Hobi. Pia will be remembered as a kid who loved life, whether it is outdoor or indoor. She loved swimming, soaking in the rain with her best friends Yesha and Jacob, watching K-Dramas in Netflix, doing sketches and drawings, painting, playing computer games, and playing with her dogs. She was an avid fan of BTS. Along Pia’s short journey, she was able to build lifelong friendships and was the little darling among all of Lalaine’s friends. She was a daughter, cousin, niece, granddaughter, a dog mom, and a dear friend. Pia will be deeply missed by many.

Pia was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lourdes Bonete Dapdap. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Lalaine; her grandfather Bob and his family; and her immediate aunts Leah, Luvrinne, and Lorraine. She also leaves behind her treasured Aunts and Uncles, loving grandparents, numerous cousins, her family and friends, as well as her beloved dogs, Hamlet and Hobi.
